April 2, 2016 - First Aid Meet - Seven Mountains 8-12:30pm - 380 Placed 1st and 3rd
April 22-24, 2016
 - New Scout Weekend - Leapold Camp at Seven Mountains - Permission form.
April 29 - May 1, 2016 - Spring Camporee - Boalsburg Military Museum grounds - Health forms required (Part A & B only). Permission slips will be posted shortly.

May 14, 2016 - Work Day at Seven Mountains Scout Camp - Service hours earned - Free tent camping.

 - Hike from Musser Gap to Dunkin Donuts (Downtown) Start at 9am This will be a pre-hike for those planning on going the Elk Hike.
May 20-22, 2016 - Elk Hike, Elk County - Arrive from 5:15 - 5:30pm - We will be leaving from the Pennsylvania Military MuseumMeet at Military Museum promptly at 5:45pm - It is a 16/17 mile hike and each person will be responsible for bringing and preparing their own food.

April 24 - 25, 2015 - New Scout Weekend- 7MC - Scout Master Essential Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills @ Seven Mountains.
May 1-2, 2015 - Spring Camporee - Grange Fairgrounds - Information and Permission Slip - Nittany Spring Camporee will be held at the Grange Fair Campground Grounds. This is a good opportunity to earn merit badges. The theme will be CSI, Crime Scout Investigator, and will be hosted by the Penn State Forensics Science Club.
May 15-17, 2015 - Elk Hike, Elk County, Elk State Park - [ Information and Permission Slip
We will be leaving from the Pennsylvania Military Museum on Friday, May 15, 2015 promptly at 6:00 PM. It is a 16/17 mile hike and each person will be responsible for bringing and preparing their own food.
June 14 to 20, 2015 - Wilderness Camp - 6:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church

2015 Summer Camp
The Troop is scheduled to go to summer camp at Seven Mountains on July 12 to July 18 - Adult leadership is needed.

2015 Ag Progress Days
Traditionally, the Troop assists its charter organization, the Harris Township Lions Club, with Ag Progress Days.  Primarily the Scouts help the Lions Club with its food booth. The 2015 event is scheduled for August 18, 19, and 20. Penn State’s Ag Progress Days is held at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center, 2710 West Pine Grove Road, Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa., 16865. (The Troop needs a volunteer to schedule the shifts for the Scouts to work.)

2015 High Adventure Trip

  • Algonquin Provincial Park - Information and Permission Slip
  • The Troop’s 2015 High Adventure Expedition will be to Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario Canada. The expedition will be about a weeklong and is scheduled for the first week in August. Scouts participating must have earned their canoeing and swimming merit badges.
  • The exact cost is not known but the likely range is between $600 to $700 and includes canoe rentals, campsite fees, water taxi costs, and travel expenses.

August 28, 2015 - Can Camping - Friday at 6:00 PM. Will meet at the Harris Township Lions Club and then car pool to Tussey Mountain where we will make camp and then dinner.  Saturday morning we will make breakfast, go for a hike, and head home.  Remember everything you will use on Friday night/ Saturday morning needs to fit in a large coffee can. There is no limit to the amount of water you can bring. You can also bring a jacket and a hiking stick. This is minimalist camping.  Success will depend on your outdoor skills, creativity, and teamwork. We need two additional adults to help.

Nov. 3, 2015 - PIZZA PARTY! - "Movie and Snack Night" with Webelos II - Lions Club - We will be previewing videos on the 2015 Summer Camp and the Algonquin Expedition. Troop 380 parents should bring a dessert to share.
Nov. 7, 2015 - 8:00 a.m. - Scouting for Food (Door Hangers Drop Off door-to-door) - Meet at the Lions Club. Sebrina Doyle will be coordinating this activity.
Nov. 14, 2015 - 8:00 a.m. - Scouting for Food - (Food pick-up door-to-door)- Meet at the Lions Club.
Nov. 14-15, 2015 - Cherry Springs State Park - "CANCELLED"
Nov. 17, 2015 - 7:00 p.m. - Parent Meeting - Lions Club - T380 RECHARTERING MEMBERSHIP FEES DUE NOV. 17, 2015 MEETING - Troop  380 parents should plan to meet to discuss their ideas for a 2016 High Adventure Trip (3 adults will be needed), out of council summer camp that may have different merit badges than 7 Mountains, the future leadership of the Troop, and other matters of shared interest. An agenda will be e-mailed to the parents prior to the meeting. Please try to attend.
